We are seeking an experienced and energetic HR Adviser to join our team in Brisbane. Reporting to the Principal Adviser, People Experience, this position works as part of a small team supporting our internal Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) department. This is an exciting time to support the IS&T business with growth and transformation projects key to their current people agenda.

This position works close to the customer and HR Business Partners, providing operational HR support and advice, policy interpretation, assistance with annual cycle activities and case management. You will be part of a small and engaged team of HR professionals who enjoy flexible working arrangements. The role is varied and there is scope to take on higher level projects and grow your career within our global organisation.
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering human resources advice and service to leaders
- Advising on human resources policies and procedures, employee relations, performance and regulatory issues
- Providing coaching to leaders to support effective workplace relationships and increase skill level in employee management; driving the leader self-service capability
- Identifying improvement initiatives and solutions to enhance people effectiveness/productivity
- Developing skills and providing advice, support and coaching in the use of human resources systems (e.g., remuneration/benefits, performance management)
- Supporting Human Resource Business Partners with the implementation of initiatives (where applicable) and recurring annual activities such as remuneration review, talent review and performance management
- Leading Process champion initiatives and supporting other projects as directed
What you will bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Proven experience in human resources with a comprehensive knowledge of generalist HR activities
- Demonstrated understanding of Australian Employment Law framework and best practice application of relevant legislation
- Demonstrated experience in understanding HR Data and using data to provide insights, that can be taken forward in a proactive manner to influence change
- Experience in investigations and advising on performance management practices
