The Emeco HR Team is seeking a dynamic Senior HR Advisor to join our team supporting the WA business. 

In this widely varied, true generalist role you will have an opportunity to utilise your HR experience in a variety of areas including recruitment, employee mobilisation, employee relations, HRIS and workforce planning.

This position is responsible for providing day to day support across all HR functions for the region:

  • Collaborate with leaders to align HR strategies with business goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on HR-related matters.
  • Support leaders in managing their teams effectively.
  • In partnership with Operations, manage ER matter for the region.
  • Provide regular information and insight to management on key HR metrics.
  • Support the development and implementation of training programs to develop our internal capability.
  • Develop plans for key positions to ensure leadership continuity.
  • Partner with hiring managers and recruitment team to identify staffing needs and support the recruitment process.
  • Contribute to all aspects of HR policy and process improvements; and
  • Provision of a high standard of HR service delivery to the specific needs of the regions and greater business.

About you

To be considered for this opportunity you will be able to demonstrate: 

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge and 3+ years’ experience in a generalist HR Advisor capacity, preferably with some experience within the mining, resources or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) and the confidence to work with all business levels,
  • Effective problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills and hands on can-do attitude,
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to analyse and apply HR metrics to underpin strong decision making,
  • Experience interpreting Awards and the Australian Fair Work Act,
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure with conflicting priorities,
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word) and experience with HR information systems and tools,
  • Able to work as part of a team and build inter-team effectiveness.
