HR Business Partner

As the HR Business Partner based at our Wambo site, you will be reporting to the Human Resources Manager of Wambo and Metropolitan sites. The scope of your role will be to foster a culture of direct engagement and provide advice and support to the Site Leadership Team and employees across such areas as IR, ER, performance management, employee engagement and retention, recruitment, diversity and inclusion, cultural change, organisational development and reporting.
Additionally, you will support the HR Manager in all daily tasks required within the business across both our Wambo and Metropolitan sites.
The lifestyle:
This position is offered on a Monday to Friday roster with one rostered day off per month and can allow for a residential lifestyle.
About you:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or similar.
- Exposure and experience in a similar role within a similar business or within heavy industry.
- Extensive practical experience in a site-based HR generalist role covering IR, ER, workforce planning, performance management, recruitment, cultural change, organisational development and HR reporting.
About the role:
- Perform HR transactions related to personnel moves from onboarding to terminations
- Support employee performance management process
- Support the business through re-organizations and / or reductions
- Assist the facilitation of salary reviews
- Investigate payroll, time off and timekeeping issues
- Participate in employee relations investigations and make recommendation for actions based on those investigation findings
- Ensure compliance with all employment policies, rules, legislation, and regulations
- Keep corporate position descriptions, policies and guidelines are up to date
- Participate in HR related projects
