About the role

The Emeco HR Team is seeking a dynamic HR Business Partner to join our team supporting Queensland and our workshops. In this widely varied, true generalist role you will have an opportunity to utilise your HR experience in a variety of areas including  employee relations, HRIS, workforce planning and supporting recruitment and  employee mobilisation.

Key responsibilities include:

This position is responsible for providing day to day support across all HR functions for the region.

Working closely with the regional Management teams you will be required to:

  • Assess and interpret employee contractual terms and conditions including relevant Awards and rosters, 
  • Provide coaching and guidance at all levels on HR and ER-related matters,
  • Manage and coordinate training activities and initiatives,
  • Assist in maintaining employee records using various information systems (Chris21, Martian Logic, and RapidInduct),
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to analyse and apply HR metrics to underpin strong decision-making,
  • Contribute to all aspects of HR policy and process improvements; and
  • Provision of a high standard of HR service delivery to the specific needs of the regions and greater business. 
  • Support end-to-end recruitment and onboarding

Required skills/ experience & attributes

To be considered for this opportunity you will be able to demonstrate: 

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources or a related field,
  • Knowledge and 5 years’ or more experience in a generalist HR Advisor/Business Partner capacity, preferably with some experience within the mining, resources or manufacturing sector;
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) and the confidence to work with all business levels,
  • Effective problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills and hands on can-do attitude,
  • Experience interpreting Awards and the Australian Fair Work Act,
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure with conflicting priorities,
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word) and experience with HR information systems and tools,
  • Able to work as part of a team and build inter-team effectiveness;
  • Initiative, ownership, integrity and confidence. 

Location

Osborne Park, WA with regular site travel.
