We are looking for a results driven HR Manager to lead part of the People Experience team that are responsible for delivering effective and efficient people services and advice across the Iron Ore portfolio. The focus of this role will be to drive efficiency and improvement in a globally aligned and centralized HR services model.

This is great opportunity for an experienced HR people leader with the ability to effect change, lead and develop people and partner with the business and people teams to effectively deliver the people agenda across our Iron Ore group.

This role is a great opportunity to advance your career as a senior level HR leader with a global company. Working Monday to Friday, and reporting to the Senior HR Manager, you will be:

  • Partnering with Human Resource Business Partners and internal client groups on their business plans and identifying necessary people initiatives to support those plans

  • Leading and developing the capability and performance of the HR advisory teams in line with Rio Tinto's company values, in order to achieve objectives

  • Partnering with your peers in the broader APAC region and globally to implement and execute global standards and practices, in a highly effective and customer orientated manner

  • Building a culture of continuous improvement to constantly drive for improved safety, efficiency and customer service levels while advancing global standards and practices

  • Leveraging and building robust partnerships with key stakeholders to deliver HR services

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A commitment to the health, safety and well-being of yourself and your team

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field

  • A track record of high performance in human resource leadership roles.

  • Experience managing complex HR Projects and driving organisational change

  • Extensive HR experience including strategic partnering and senior stakeholder engagement

  • Experience as a HR Generalist working in an operational environment, including demonstrated performance in managing ER Risk.

  • Highly skilled influencing, negotiation and conflict resolution experience fostering teamwork and operational excellence

It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • Experience working in a shared services environment in an organisation that leverages a shared services model.

  • Experience working in a multi-national company.
