We are Australia’s largest pure-play coal producer generating over $10 billion in Foreign Direct Investment; owning, operating or participating in coal mines across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia. 

Managed by Yancoal, Premier Coal is the leading coal producer in Western Australia.  Operating an open cut coal mine near Collie in the South West of WA, the operation produces coal for the domestic market with contracts to 2030.

About the role

We are looking for someone who understands how to provide high level human resources administration support on a 2 year fixed term contract. The main duties of the HR Officer are: 

• HR administration duties to support the HR Superintendent
• Supporting the recruitment process, including posting ads, phone screening, scheduling and running interviews and coordinating the onboarding process for new employees
• Maintaining employee records and administration of HR systems
• Respond to routine employee and leader queries in relation to interpretation of polices and procedures

About you

• An appropriate HR qualification desirable 
• High degree of confidentiality
• Previous HR administration experience desirable
• Previous administration experience a must
• Previous SAP experience desirable
• Organising and planning skills, ability to work in a fast paces environment
• Strong interpersonal, communication skills with a high attention to detail
