Macmahon are in an exciting position to welcome applications for a HSEQ Systems Advisor to join the HSEQ team in Perth. As the HSEQ Systems Advisor you will support the broader HSEQ team by maintaining and continuously improving the HSEQ Document Management and Data Reporting Systems to achieve effective and timely document management and continuation of ISO Accreditation with an Integrated Management System. 

The Perth office is strategically located at the Airport (T1/T2) and boasts an impressive staff gym with personal and group training, free secure undercover parking, and electric vehicle charging stations. 

The role focus

  • Coordinate controlled documentation 
  • Provide timely support and guidance on all document control processes 
  • Maintain the integrity of the Macmahon Document Library (MDL) in accordance with standards and procedures
  • Liaise with management, site teams and all other interested parties regarding MDL access and use
  • Lead the review, approval and distribution of new and revised controlled documents 
  • Ensure company documents, procedures and related forms are reviewed within required timeframes, uploaded and issued in compliance with company processes
  • Coordinate storage, archiving, and filing of company documentation and records
  • Respond to general inquiries from employees regarding HSEQ documentation and system matters
  • Ensure current versions of documents are maintained in the MDL and available to all company stakeholders
  • Maintain correct document naming convention, filing structure and metadata
  • Provide technical responses and support regarding HSEQ documentation and Integrated Management System accreditation requirements 
  • Utilise HSEQ data to conduct analysis and provide reporting and recommendations on continuous improvement for the MDL and HSEQ management systems
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with the company’s ISO certified HSEQ Integrated Management System
  • Monitor and act on site compliance to MDL requirements in accordance with company standards and procedures
  • Participate in HSEQ audits, inspections and control verification activities

Ideal qualifications and attributes 

  • 3 year’s experience in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of HSEQ Management Systems in accordance with ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Experience with electronic document control and HSEQ data management systems (e.g. SharePoint, InControl etc.)
  • Excellent computer skills in particular with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Be agile, responsive and able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • The ability to travel to other work locations as required around Australia
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a diverse team
  • OH&S Management Systems Lead Auditor (desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (desirable)
  • A demonstrated ability to engage and motivate
