HSET Advisor

Emeco Group are looking for a Health Safety Environment & Training Advisor in the Northern Goldfields region to join our expanding team. This role will be supporting our crew at Orelia Mine Site. This pivotal role involves collaborating closely with our HSET team in Perth to ensure safety initiatives, including training development and documentation, are executed effectively. 

Responsibilities include:

• Educating and implementing organisational policies and procedures
• Leading incident investigations and providing timely reporting on HSE metrics.
• Conducting inspections, audits, and delivering HSE training programs
• Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Promoting a positive safety culture
• Coach and train all levels of the organisation on HSET activities
• Assist with implementation of safety related systems and software packages.
• Review and development of project and task specific risk assessments
• Ensure safety and training records are maintained to a high level
• Monitor compliance through audits and inspections.
• Assist in managing worker’s compensation process
• Develop and deliver training packages.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and training standards.
• Support development and maintenance of HSE policies and procedure.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (minimum TAE40116)
• Certification in workplace auditing (Preferred)
• Certification in  incident investigation (ICAM preferred)

• Previous experience in a similar role including training and assessment of operating heavy mobile equipment

Skills and Experience:

• Technical competencies in HS&E,  legislative requirements, and change management.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in HSE
• Strong understanding of legislative requirements
• Proven ability to drive cultural change.
• Proficiency in MS Office and HSET management systems
