We're looking for an experienced HSET Superintendent to join our team based in Gunnedah, NSW, supporting multiple mining operations across the region. In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with operational leaders to drive a strong safety culture, provide expert HSET support, and ensure our Health, Safety, Environment and Training systems are implemented effectively. From coaching and mentoring teams to leading incident investigations and driving continuous improvement initiatives, you'll play a key role in protecting our people while balancing field engagement with strategic planning. Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with site leaders to improve HSET performance across multiple operations
  • Conduct regular site visits, inspections, audits and workplace interactions
  • Lead and facilitate incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
  • Develop and implement practical risk management strategies and workplace controls
  • Monitor and report on HSE performance and key safety metrics
  • Maintain and improve HSE management systems, procedures and documentation
  • Deliver HSET training, coaching and mentoring to employees and leaders
  • Ensure compliance with NSW mining legislation, company standards and customer requirements
  • Promote a positive, proactive safety culture through behavioural and leadership initiatives
  • Collaborate with regional HSET teams to drive consistency and best practice across the business

To Be Successful You'll Have:

  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (essential)
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • ICAM Lead Investigator qualification or equivalent investigation experience
  • Experience within mining, heavy mobile equipment or a similar heavy industry environment
  • Strong understanding of NSW WHS and mining legislation
  • Experience conducting audits, investigations and risk assessments
