We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our growing team on a full-time, permanent basis at our office in Hazelmere. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role will see you offering support and guidance to Barminco operations with a focus on implementing developmental strategies and managing employee-related matters.

Key Duties: 

  • Contribute to the delivery of human resources initiatives aligning with the business strategic plan.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including operations, employees, parent groups (and their representatives) as well as client representatives.
  • Provide support and advice across all business areas to ensure the understanding of all relevant employment industrial instruments and employee entitlements.
  • Assist in the review of HR and related policies and procedures.
  • Educate and coach managers and employees on HR policies and procedures ensuring HR compliance with legislation. 
  • Provide support and coaching to key stakeholders regarding employee relations and performance management.
  • Assist with the management and investigation of disciplinary matters, employee issues or grievances.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of industrial instruments.
  • Contribute to HR reporting and data analytics.
  • Facilitate the roll-out of HR related training and workshops as required.
  • Engage in continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, researching solutions, and implementing changes.
  • Participate in regular site visits.

Key Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an operational HR role, preferably within the mining or resources sector.
  • Ability to educate and coach various levels of the organisation regarding employment legislation and other legislative observations.
  • Highly developed planning and organisation skills.
  • Good level of knowledge and understanding of employment and industrial relations, legislation, and regulations.
  • Ability to navigate a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Be prepared for up to 3 site visits per quarter.
  • Working towards, or degree in Human Resources Management/Industrial Relations (desirable).
