Our HR business partners are here to work alongside our business leaders in translating business strategies, objectives, and context into People strategies while supporting the design and implementation of programmes and interventions to build team and organisational effectiveness as well as define, build, and maintain employee engagement.

As a HR business partner and member of the leadership team within the portfolio that you support, your input is highly valued to shape the People strategy specific to your portfolio; each portfolio unique and offering you the opportunity to stretch and diversify your experience and exposure across a variety of business and function specific challenges over the course of your career.

We are looking for a HR Business Partner to join our Iron Ore business. This is a great opportunity to support our Iron Ore business to achieve its vision to be the most valued resource business.

Reporting to the General Manager Human Resources, you’ll coach and advise leadership teams, act as an escalation point to resolve significant and complex issues, and where required, support business leaders to deliver, manage, and sustain change.

What you’ll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • A HR or business-related qualification
  • Business partnering experience within a large, networked organisation
  • Ability to define strategy and translate that strategy into executable and measurable outcomes
  • Proven ability to engage, influence and collaborate with senior leadership teams with a good application of contemporary HR systems, processes, and obligations
  • Ability to coach and influence senior leaders in a way that tests conventional thinking and challenges the status quo
  • Experience in organisational design and implementation of appropriate tools and systems, organisation and development interventions and employee/labour relations

It will also be beneficial if you have experience within resources/heavy industry/manufacturing sector.
