About the role
We are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support Energy Resources of Australia (ERA) to partner with the business as a trusted advisor to drive the HR strategy across the business.
ERA has been one of the nation’s largest uranium producers and operated Australia’s longest continually producing uranium mine. After closure of the Ranger Mine in 2021, ERA is now committed to creating a positive legacy and achieving world class, sustainable rehabilitation of former mine assets. The Ranger Rehabilitation Project is located on Aboriginal land and are surrounded by, but separate from, Kakadu National Park.
The Ranger Rehabilitation Project is located around 3 hours southeast of Darwin. ERA has embarked on a truly unique and world-class rehabilitation program of the Ranger Project Area to a standard where it can be reincorporated into the surrounding Kakadu National Park, if Traditional Owners and the Commonwealth Government wish.
Based in the Darwin office, with some travel to site, this is an exciting opportunity on both a personal and professional level. You will get to experience all that Darwin and the Top End have to offer, while developing and honing your skills as a HR Business Partner in a challenging and unique business. You will support the senior HRBP to deliver strategic programs of work to support the business in its closure efforts.
Key areas of focus include; employee engagement, behaviours and culture, performance and productivity, talent and capability, leadership effectiveness and Inclusion and Diversity across the site and Darwin based teams.
Further HRBP accountabilities include:
- Translating business strategy, objectives and global context into our people strategy and workforce planning
- Providing advice and coaching on people and culture initiatives, including constructively challenging leaders on their individual and collective effectiveness
- Supporting and influencing leaders to define, build, and strengthen employee inclusion and engagement
- Collaborating with the Areas of Expertise, People Experience teams, and other internal service providers to inform the design of HR solutions, processes, programs, tools, and systems
- Seeking out diverse viewpoints when problem-solving, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and an ability to gain support for solutions that challenge the status-quo
- Supporting leaders to identify and deliver specific outcomes related to talent, development and succession
- Leading or participating in Group and Functional programs or projects across L&D, talent, performance, learning & development and other core focus areas
About you
What you’ll bring
- Progressive experience in people-related business partnering roles in large, global organizations
- A passion for understanding the business in which you operate, and a high level of analytical, influencing and negotiation skills
- Extensive experience coaching, engaging, and guiding senior leaders
- Demonstrated experience of leading and influencing cultural change, organisational design and effectiveness and other key change management programs
- A proven ability to build a broad and effective network of contacts which will include partnering closely across the entire People community, specifically with subject matter experts in Remuneration, Benefits, Recruitment, Talent, Employee Relations and International Mobility
- Experience working in a fast-moving environment, requiring agility and an ability to quickly provide solutions to unique situations
- Flexibility to work across time zones and partner with colleagues around the world
