Fortescue People Lead
Work Location: Port Hedland. The Port Hedland office is located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people
Roster: 4 days on, 3 days off, FIFO to Port Hedland or residential
Role overview:
This role is critical and pivotal for the People Team in support, guidance, mentoring, leadership and advice for general Human Resources, Industrial Relations, and People & Cultural matters for the Hedland Operations division.
Working alongside the Manager Fortescue People, and supporting the relevant leadership teams, you will be involved in all facets of the Hedland Operations People remit and employ your extensive investigation, people management, advisory service, and general empathetic nature of human resources.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead a team of Advisors and Administrators and ensure the effective and efficient operation of the HR and Administration functions
- Provide support and advice to performance issues and disciplinary actions for both our Fortescue and Contractor workforces
- Conduct investigations and case management across the Hedland Operations environment
- Deliver Leadership programs and assist with workforce planning
- Providing HR generalist advice, guidance, coaching and mentoring and HR Reporting & trend analysis
- Be an active member of the Fortescue Hedland community supporting our partnerships with the town
Education and Experience:
- 2-years plus leadership experience
- Resources industry experience preferred
- Advanced communication and influencing skills
- Solid working knowledge & experience of ER/IR
- Relevant Human Resources tertiary qualifications
