ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a permanent position from our Boddington Bauxite Mine, which is located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour).

As the Human Resources Lead, you will be responsible for leading and executing the Worsley HR strategy and agenda for the Bauxite Mine, ensuring high quality HR coaching and support is provided across the full employment lifecycle to enable delivery of operational objectives.

• Understand key drivers of business performance at Worsley Bauxite mine, ensuring the effective delivery of HR framework, tools, systems & processes to service and enable leaders and employees
• Influence and provide strategic support to the leadership team
• Provide high quality industrial and employee relations advice and services, managing and resolving issues as they arise
• Ensure high-quality HR business partnership support is delivered across the full employment lifecycle for ~500 employees.

ABOUT YOU 

Current or recently working in an HR Lead role, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:  

• Excellent negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills. Able to challenge people, situations and current thinking effectively and creatively
• Significant experience in industrial relations with a sound knowledge of industrial and employee relations theory, principles, policies and practices within a heavy industry context with EA negotiation exposure
• Ability to build the capabilities of leaders across the business to drive accountability and high performance Constructively challenge decisions which are not in best interest of the organisation
• Change management principles and methodologies

Qualifications for this position are:  

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant degree (preferable in HR/IR, Organisational Behaviour or Change Management) ideally in a mining or related industry
