At Yarrabee, our people are at the centre of everything we do and we’re looking for a driven, curious and capable HR professional to join our team. This is an opportunity to step into a hands-on, site-based role, where you’ll be visible, trusted, and actively supporting leaders and crews across the operation while continuing to build your HR capability.
This is a busy, frontline HR role where no two days are the same. You’ll act as the first point of contact for supervisors and employees, providing practical support across a broad range of HR activities, from recruitment and onboarding through to payroll queries, reporting, and HR systems.
This is a 12-month fixed term role and you’ll work on site at Yarrabee mine on a 7:00am – 4:00pm roster, with flexibility to meet the needs of the business and your own. You’ll engage directly with crews, building strong relationships and gaining a deep understanding of how the operation runs.
This role offers strong exposure across the full employee lifecycle and provides a solid platform to continue developing your HR career in a site environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Acting as the first point of contact for supervisors and employees across site
- Supporting day-to-day HR operations, enquiries, and administrative processes
- Assisting with payroll queries and liaising with payroll to resolve issues
- Coordinating end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle activities
- Maintaining HR systems, records, and workforce data
- Preparing reports and supporting workforce planning activities (strong Excel skills highly regarded)
- Supporting leaders with HR processes, systems (SuccessFactors and SAP), and documentation
- Providing Level 1 HR support and escalating more complex matters where required
- Coordinating training, engagement activities, and site initiatives
- Getting out on site, attending pre-starts, and building relationships with crews
What we're looking for
We’re looking for someone who is ready to bring their organisational skills and HR knowledge to the team, whilst continuing to build their capability and develop in a supportive site-based role.
You will bring:
- A proactive, driven and curious mindset
- Confidence in engaging and building relationships across all levels
- Attention to detail, and a strength with systems and processes
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment
Why join Yarrabee?
You will have the opportunity to:
- Gain genuine exposure to all areas of HR in a site-based environment
- Work closely with experienced HR professionals
- Be part of a team that values development, support, and continuous improvement
