Owned by Yancoal, Yarrabee is based in Blackwater QLD which is 200 km west of the Capricorn Coast. Yarrabee is a proud producer of high-quality PCI coal since 1982. We employ approximately 400 people, who are our most valuable asset and we invest in developing our management and leadership talent throughout our operations. Yancoal Australia is Australia's largest pure play coal producer. It boasts three tier one thermal coal mines in New South Wales together with interests in three other metallurgical and thermal coal mines located in New South Wales and Queensland. Yancoal Australia also manages five other Australian coal mines on behalf of related parties. Yancoal currently employs over 3,000 people across its operations.

About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager/SSE the HR Superintendent will be the technical expert advising on all HR matters whilst supports the business in driving the HR team to provide proactive and effective HR support to the Yarrabee site. The HR Superintendent successfully leads HR initiatives through strong influencing and clear communication to key stakeholders to deliver site aligned outcomes.
Roster: 5/2 Roster - Monday to Friday (flexible) with monthly RDO’s
About You
The ideal candidate will have a depth and breadth of HR experience, ideally within the mining or construction sectors, which will see you confidently leading the HR function and identifying as the subject matter expert for the organisation.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or related work experience
- Strong knowledge of HR functions and sound understanding of employment related legislation and industrial relations experience
- Previous experience using SAP is preferable, and a high proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential
- Ability to facilitate regular HR reporting and data analytics, including turnover and end of month; and developing and continually improving HR standards, guidelines, policies, procedures and best practices
- Proven management, leadership, and coaching ability with the capacityto engage and develop rapport with people at all levels of the organisation
