Accountabilities
The accountabilities and purpose of this role is to:
- Ensure HV equipment reliability by developing and continuously improving HV equipment condition, knowledge, and maintenance practices by updating maintenance strategies, performing defect elimination and updating work management process.
- To keep tract of the HV equipment asset health and recommend corrective action when necessary.
- Perform Level 3 (11kV and above) switching across refinery.
- Provide the key link between the Maintenance Analysis & Improvement teams and HV maintenance execution teams.
- Ensure the effectiveness of work strategies and work plans, statutory and legislative requirements.
This role will be offered on a Permanent full-time basis.
Location
This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.
As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie.
About You
- Grade A electrical licence or a degree in electrical engineering (will be offered an Electrical Engineer role).
- Several years’ experience maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment in refinery /mining or other similar heavy industry.
- A wealth of working experience in maintenance and troubleshooting work activities related to Power transformers, transmission lines, HV switchgear, outdoor substations, Generators etc.
- Understanding of Work Management Cycle and Defect Elimination process.
- Detailed knowledge of procedures and concepts in development of maintenance and associated strategy for HV electrical equipment
- Level 3 (11kV and above) switching experience. If not, willingness to hold Level 3 switching ticket in 6 months.
- Experience in testing and calibration of protection relays. (Desirable not essential)
- Proficiency in work management software such as SAP and Microsoft Office (Highly regarded)
