HV Electrician

Due to the continuous growth and strengthening of our position Australia wide and the recent additional works being awarded at Byerwen, Macmahon has the opportunity for an experienced HV Electrician to join our maintenance team.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the purpose of this role is to assist in the day-to-day requirements of a Maintenance HV Electrician. This role requires a safety conscious candidate prepared to drive continuous improvement and implement best practise using a hands-on approach.

Position responsibilities:
•     Conduct servicing, repair, and maintenance of heavy mobile mining machinery.
•    Conduct servicing, repair, and maintenance of commercial and industrial installations.
•    Complete scheduled maintenance, field breakdowns, servicing – inclusive of component change outs and statutory electrical testing
•    HV Switching qualifications.
•    Automotive air conditioning ticket- preferred but not essential
•    Previous experience working on Leibherr, CAT, Komatsu, and Hitachi machinery.
•    Willingness to work in a team environment or autonomously when required.
•    High level of diagnostic skills and schematic knowledge
•    Maintain a high level of detail and housekeeping standards.

About you:
•    Current QLD Electrical Mechanic Licence or equivalent
•    Current LVR/CPR qualification
•    Current Drivers Licence
•    Minimum 2 experience in a large mining operation

Byerwen Mine is located approximately 20kms west of the town of Glenden in the northern Bowen Basin an dis Macmahon’s largest project on the east coast. Full camp facilities are available – accommodation and meals provided.
