ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a permanent position on a 9-day fortnight, based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.

As the Electrical Engineer (HV), you will be responsible for providing expertise to Capital Projects team with delivery of Westinghouse Ampgard Replacement project and other assigned projects.  

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

• Adhere to relevant processes and standards, statutory legislation, Fatal Risk Controls, and industry, Australian, or government standards
• Delivering on HV Switchboard specifications and design, as well as commissioning plans and support
• Developing Scope of Works for 3.3kV switchboard replacements
• Promote safety and discipline in engineering work, ensure task quality, and enhance team knowledge
• Ensure content of technical documentation for electrical and instrumentation discipline reflects the “as built” condition as per authorised modifications and changes

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

• Expert knowledge of HV Switchboard specifications, design & commissioning
• Performing design calculations using power system modelling software
• Commitment to safe working practices
• Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively to deliver great outcomes

Qualifications for this position are: 

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering (Required) 
• Eligible for Chartered Membership of Engineers Australia
