ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent full-time position on a 4:3 roster, Monday to Thursday, at our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.
As the Occupational Hygiene Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the development, governance and continuous improvement of occupational hygiene programs, ensuring health risks are effectively identified, monitored and controlled across operational sites.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Complete occupational hygiene monitoring and exposure assessments
- Provide technical advice and coaching to operational teams
- Support health-related investigations and corrective actions
- Contribute to exposure reduction and health improvement projects
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Interpreting exposure data and recommending practical risk controls
- Building trusted relationships across operational and functional teams
- Managing competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes
- Influencing stakeholders through clear written and verbal communication
Qualifications for this position are:
- Qualification in Occupational Hygiene, Health Science, Environmental Health, or related discipline
- Full AIOH Membership or equivalent recognised certification
- Mine Air Quality Officer and/or Noise Officer accreditation
- Current C Class Driver's License
