About You
The In Stream Analysis Technician role will be based at Leinster and offered to a technician on a 5:2, 4:3 roster. There are FIFO or Residential options available.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Metallurgical and analytical laboratory techniques (sizing, sample prep)
- Be experienced in the operation, calibration and maintenance of on-stream analysis equipment.
- Have exposure to a complex mineral processing environment and operations
- Enjoy a high degree of computer literacy, including basic programming knowledge.
- Be familiar with Metallurgical and Analytical laboratory techniques
- It would be beneficial if you were a Radiation Safety Officer (Fixed Gauges Industrial Qualification) and are licensed under the Radiation Safety Act
About the Role
Within this position you will be responsible for the following:
- The operation and monitoring of in-stream analysis equipment for mineral refining and processing and the management of site radiation license conditions.
- Engagement and management of external contractors for the installation, maintenance, repairs and calibrations of In-Stream Analysis equipment
- Managing inventory of spare parts for analysers and engaging with external suppliers.
- Responding to and managing emergencies/ fixed plant hazards and performing first level maintenance activities.
- Conducting routine operational and safety inspections
- Interpreting data from operational digital interfaces/systems/ technologies
- Operating, monitoring and optimising plant/ equipment and processes associated with concentrator and washing operations.
- Conducting laboratory support activities (e.g. collecting samples, performance monitoring) to enable the achievement of targets.
- Identifying and assessing risks and building a risk aware culture.
