About WAIO
Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO) is an integrated system of four processing hubs and five mines, connected by more than 1,000 kilometres of rail infrastructure and port facilities in the Pilbara region of northern Western Australia.
About the Role
This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive candidate. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor within the Warehousing and Logistics team, you will be responsible for safely providing materials to site customers, efficiently and on time.
You will also contribute to the transport, delivery of freight, products and goods being received, and management of warehouse operations, involving the handling and management of goods and products. You will apply technical expertise to solve problems and deliver for the customer.
This role is a FIFO opportunity on an 8/6 Days & 7/7 Nights roster. Experience in the Warehousing Inventory & Logistics and/ or Resources Industry would be advantageous, however not essential. This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, with potential extension for the right applicant.
Your responsibilities include:
- Participation in an environment that promotes teamwork, customer service and action orientation
- Safe and efficient execution of warehouse tasks
- High standard of work to maintain warehouse and yard to a global warehouse standard
- Ensure all MHE (forklifts, reach trucks) are operated professionally and safely
- Actively participate in team meetings and safety meetings and forums
- Professional approach to effectively resolve customer queries
- Flexibility and the ability to work autonomously and lead by example
- Participate in all training provided to achieve the competencies required for the role
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- Positive attitude towards safety
- Passionate about learning warehousing operations
- Current full West Australian “C” class motor vehicle licence
- Ability to obtain HRW Forklift and HR Drivers Licence
- Strong administrative and computing skills
- Excellent communication skills both at written and verbal levels
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
