About WAIO

Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO) is an integrated system of four processing hubs and five mines, connected by more than 1,000 kilometres of rail infrastructure and port facilities in the Pilbara region of northern Western Australia. 

About the Role

Our Warehousing Inventory and Logistics team are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join a technically motivated and results-driven team. Reporting into the Superintendent Warehouse, your role will be to deliver the safe and effective operations of an onsite warehouse.

  Whilst the safety of the work environment and the safety of your team are absolutely paramount, there is a required focus of your day to day, to lead, coach and mentor the warehouse team members to ensure delivery against performance targets, safety targets and warehousing best practices.

BHP Warehouses and other departments are undergoing constant evolution whilst striving to achieve world class outcomes, candidates that are fully prepared to engage positively in the implementation, evaluation and improvement of necessary business practices will be most suitable to this role. The role will be offered as Fly in Fly out (FIFO) on an 8:6, 7:7 rotational shift roster. Accommodation and Flights provided. This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, with potential extension for the right applicant.

  • Supply Chain Warehousing experience highly desirable with sound knowledge of storage and transport of goods, IT operating systems, hazardous materials, and dangerous goods
  • Western Australian C Class Driver’s Licence
  • 1SAP Knowledge desirable
  • High Risk Work Forklift Licence or a willingness to achieve
  • Ability to obtain Schedule 26 Supervisor qualification to fully execute obligations

About You

You will be an engaging, inclusive and enthusiastic leader, who is motivated by high performance and are able to use your relationship building and negotiation skills to influence others.

Your proven ability to motivate and manage a team is essential to your success in this role. Proven leadership experience is essential, preference within a Supply Chain / Warehousing area. You will have the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and also possess strong decision-making skills to achieve the best outcome for your own Warehouse team as well as the broader BHP group.
