ABOUT IMC

Illawarra Metallurgical Coal produces premium-quality, hard coking coal for steelmaking, which is transported within Australia and around the world. We operate two underground metallurgical coal mines, two preparation plants and a logistics chain.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a permanent full-time position based at the Regional Operations Centre, Port Kembla Coal Terminal in Wollongong, NSW.

As the Team Lead Infrastructure and Connectivity, you will have technical accountability for the platform at the operation. You are responsible for facilitating the technology (both IT and OT) infrastructure and connectivity agenda, in alignment with the Operations and Technology strategies, by providing leadership and where appropriate execution of site infrastructure and connectivity.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Contribute to the development of the infrastructure and connectivity Roadmaps and ensure its integration with the overall Technology Strategy for the operation
• Set the priority for support, maintenance, resilience and optimisation work in collaboration with the broader site Technology leadership team
• Build, develop and manage the internal infrastructure team based at site, providing leadership and ongoing development and support
• Assist with ensuring service level requirements of the Infrastructure Platform are clearly articulated and monitored with the support of the Technology Leads based at site in the Operations

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Knowledge of information technology and operation technology disciplines
• Project Management experience
• Solid technical skills in infrastructure and connectivity
• Strong planning and organisational skills – deliver to milestone dates, manage resources effectively and can juggle multiple activities at once to accomplish goals
• Ability to think and plan strategically
• Demonstrated people management experience across cross-functional teams
• Experience working in an Outsourced IT delivery model.

Qualifications for this position are:

• Technology certifications or equivalent Tertiary degree in Computer Science, Instrumentation and Control Systems and Telecommunications Engineering or other relevant disciplines
