Infrastructure Operator

Work location: Solomon

•  Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi people. 

Roster:  7 days on, 7 days off 

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, Fortescue is seeking a Safety Focused and motivated Operator to join the Infrastructure Services team at their Solomon Mine.  This permanent full-time position will consist in the delivery of the sites Potable water and the collection of Wastewater throughout the mine.

Key accountabilities include:

• Operate HR Potable Water Truck
• Operate a vacuum truck and associated equipment
• Communicate with site operations personnel
• Maintain vehicle upkeep and cleanliness by carrying out daily pre-start inspections

To be considered suitable applicants will have:

• Current HR Driver's License Minimum 2-year with a good driving record
• Previous experience operating a vacuum truck
• Forklift or Telehandler (Desirable)
• Good communication skills and hazard awareness
• Strong Safety focus and awareness of Site based Road Rules
• Self-motivated and have good attention to detail
