Infrastructure Operator

Our Opportunity

Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster: 7D7R ex Perth

We are seeking a safety-focused and motivated Operator to join our Infrastructure Services Team at the Solomon Mine. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, this role is responsible for the delivery of potable water and the collection of wastewater across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate HR potable Water Truck to deliver potable water across site.
• Operate vacuum truck and associated equipment for wastewater collection.
• Communicate effectively with site operations personnel to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Perform daily pre-start inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness and upkeep.
• Complete daily time confirmations and update of a daily run sheet.

Qualifications and Experience

• Current HR Driver’s Licence (minimum 2 years) with a strong driving record.
• Previous experience operating a vacuum truck.
• Forklift or Telehandler licence (desirable).
• Strong communication skills and hazard awareness.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance with site road rules.
• Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
