Infrastructure Services Carpenter (NPI)

Work Location: Port Hedland

Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

Roster: 7/7 roster Residential or FIFO

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor this permanent full-time position is within our Infrastructure Services department. You will provide safe, effective and timely building maintenance to our facilities to optimise operational performance. There will also be opportunities to be involved in upgrade projects that will add to our operational capacity.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Raising notifications and work orders
  • Conduct building maintenance to mine site and camp facilities
  • Conduct improvement works to facilities
  • Carry out required inspections

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Carpentry trade qualification
  • Previous experience as carpenter tradesperson
  • Ability and willingness to scope maintenance works and small projects for material take off
  • Qualification to undertake working at heights duties for roof maintenance
  • Experience in computer-based maintenance systems - SAP (desirable)
  • Unrestricted C class drivers’ licence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
