Vault Minerals is seeking an experienced Injury Management & Rehabilitation Coordinator to join our Corporate Office in a newly created role.

Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, the Injury Management and Rehabilitation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating workplace injury management, workers' compensation claims, and return-to-work (RTW) programs across the business. . Working closely with employees, leaders, medical practitioners, insurers, and external rehabilitation providers, you will facilitate safe, sustainable, and timely return-to-work outcomes while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organizational requirements.

This position is based in our South Perth corporate office and operates Monday to Friday, with flexible work arrangements available.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

Injury Management

  • Manage workplace injury and illness cases from initial notification through to resolution.
  • Coordinate early intervention and injury management strategies to support employee recovery.
  • Ensure all workplace injuries/illnesses are accurately documented and reported within required timeframes.
  • Monitor injury/illness cases and provide regular status updates to management.
  • Identify barriers to recovery and implement practical solutions to support successful rehabilitation outcomes.

Return-to-Work Coordination

  • In conjunction with medical experts, develop and implement individualised Return-to-Work Plans.
  • Liaise with treating practitioners to obtain medical information and work capacity recommendations.
  • Coordinate suitable duties programs aligned with medical restrictions and operational requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews of RTW plans and adjust as required.
  • Support employees and supervisors throughout the rehabilitation process.

Workers' Compensation Management

  • Manage workers' compensation claims in collaboration with insurers, brokers and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure legislative compliance regarding claims management and return-to-work obligations.
  • Monitor claim performance, costs, durations, and outcomes.
  • Participate in case conferences involving injured workers, medical providers, insurers, and rehabilitation consultants.
  • Contribute to reducing claim costs through proactive injury management practices.

Personal Injury Management

  • Coordinate the salary continuance process in collaboration with supervisors and the Human Resources team, ensuring timely administration and communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate and support employees’ return to work following long-term absences arising from non-work-related injuries, illnesses, or medical conditions.
  • Coordinate medical fitness-for-work assessments where required, working closely with the Human Resources team and site-based Safety personnel to ensure appropriate employee placement and compliance with organisational requirements.

Reporting and Administration

  • Maintain confidential injury management records, databases, and documentation.
  • Prepare workers’ compensation reports, analyse injury trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy and record-keeping requirements.
  • Process invoices and coordinate payment administration.
  • Liaise with supervisors, administration, and payroll on rostering and pay matters.

About You

  • Accreditation as a Return-to-Work Coordinator (or the ability to obtain accreditation).
  • Relevant qualifications in Injury Management, Rehabilitation, Safety, Nursing, Allied Health or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience managing workplace injuries, workers' compensation claims and rehabilitation programs, strong understanding of WA Workers' Compensation and Injury Management legislation.Proven ability to facilitate successful and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and case management skills.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities.
  • A high level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
  • Current WA C-Class Driver's Licence
