About the role

We are looking for Inspectors – Fixed Plant to play a lead role in being the teams Subject Matter Expert in fixed plant maintenance.

This is a great opportunity for trade qualified Mechanical Fitters or Boilermakers to join our teams across various Pilbara mine sites.

What you’ll bring

  • A Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker Trade qualification
  • A Manual C Class Australian Drivers Licence essential
  • Current experience in an Iron Ore process plant
  • Excellent diagnostic fault-finding abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of high-pressure pumps, industrial drive gearboxes and crushers
  • Solid understanding of SAP maintenance systems or similar highly regarded

Reporting to the Senior Engineer and working in a collaborative community, a challenging and exciting environment within the Fixed Plant department, you will be responsible for:

  • Conduct routine inspections of fixed plant equipment and determine repair action when required
  • Work closely with maintenance, engineering and shut down team to prioritise work in the shut base on inspection and plant health
  • Inspecting work fronts to ensure that all work is completed to a high quality.
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with all RTIO Company Policies and procedures
  • Identify, prioritise and execute defect elimination equipment improvement projects
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects – increasing safety whilst reducing risk & cost
  • Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed to the relevant standard / specification
  • Use your experience to look for improvement opportunities to benefit the Plant
