Intern - Strategy & Investor Relations Analyst

With over 60 years of experience, Macmahon is a mining contractor with a unique capability of offering its clients surface, underground and mining support services.

Macmahon has an exciting opportunity for a 2nd or 3rd year university student to join Macmahon’s strategy and investor relations team for a month over the summer break. Ideally you will be enrolled in a Bachelor of Commerce degree (majoring in finance, economics or accounting). You must be available to work full time commencing Monday 8 January, 2024 until Friday 9 February, 2024. 
 

The Perth office is strategically located at the Airport (T1/T2) and boasts an impressive staff gym with personal and group training, free secure undercover parking, and electric vehicle charging stations. 
 
 
The opportunity
 

• Provide support in the strategic planning and execution process
• Review and analyse industry and market trends including customer demand, competition and supply inputs which will be key in developing strategic initiatives
• Provide analytical support to the execution of strategic initiatives
• Provide analytical support to the evaluation, execution and integration of M&A opportunities
• Conduct other financial analysis tasks or ad hoc projects as required, under supervision
• Assist with performing investor relations programme

The ideal candidate
 

• Working towards or currently holds a Bachelor of Commence degree – majoring in finance, economics or accounting
• Proactive with ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
• A keen interest in Macmahon and the mining industry
• Available to work full time from 8 January, 2023 until 9 February, 2024
