Investment Manager
Work location: Sydney
Roster: Monday to Friday
You will lead the project financial modelling and scenario assessment of projects within FFI’s EANZ business. You will work alongside the State Managers and Development Managers to support the assessment of each projects’ economic viability and identify opportunities to increase project value.
You will develop strong relationships at senior levels with internal stakeholders including teams such as marketing, commercial, finance, treasury and risk. You will work closely with the corporate financial modelling team based in Perth.
You will provide the inputs for the FFI Investment Committee Papers from the AENZ region and also provide expertise and independent assurance for the Director on the financial viability of proposals.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide early financial assessment of concepts and opportunities
- Develop project financial models
- Develop Investment Cases and Business Cases for Investment Committee approval
- Facilitate the documentation and approval of inputs and assumptions
- Provide scenario analysis and expertise to project owners on how to optimise financial outcomes
- Identify and model commercial risks and liabilities
- Support the achievement of holistic, accurate and robust commercial insight
- Ensure model integrity and alignment with FFI’s approach to financial modelling
Qualifications and skills required:
- Degree qualified in maths, engineering, finance or related field
- Masters degree ( preferred but not essential)
- Demonstrated experience in financial modelling and business case development
- 10 plus years’ experience in financial modelling in a top 4, investment bank or financier
- Understanding of and previous experience in multi billion-dollar infrastructure projects
- Ability to communicate well at senior levels in written and verbal forms
