Iron Bridge Concentrate Handling Facility (CHF) Port Hedland- located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people
Roster:
8/6, 7/7 days / nights FIFO Ex Perth
Iron Bridge is Fortescue’s US$2.6 billion project, set to deliver 22mtpa of high grade 67% Fe magnetite concentrate product. The CHF, located in Port Hedland, receives Magnetite via pipeline from the Ironbridge OPF, located 145km by road south of Port Hedland. The mine will deliver an innovative process design and industry-leading energy efficient operation.
Key responsibilities include:
- The Fixed Plant Process Operator role reports directly to the CHF Operations supervisor and will be responsible for maintaining and improving fixed plant to safely deliver world class availability and reliability.
- This role will also include but not be limited to managing plant maintenance functions in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner, enabling the Fixed Plant Operations to meet the present and future needs of operational requirements; and managing the plant maintenance activities with a continuous improvement and reliability philosophy.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience operating wet processing plants including concentrate thickeners, vacuum belt feeders, flocculent dosing systems, polishing filters, and associated wet plant equipment.
- Previous experience with Permit, Lock-out and Isolation systems and procedures
- Previous experience with SCADA and control room operations
- Conduct daily inspections of process equipment
- Provide quality shift handovers, hazard reporting and maintain daily log entries
- Current High Risk Work Licence endorsed – EWP, Telehandler, Rigging, Dogging.
- HR Truck licence
- Skid Steer and Loader experience
- Experience in computer-based maintenance systems – SAP desirable
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Section 44 Appointed
- Experience with BMS entries, Hazard reporting and escalation procedures
- Excellent communication skills via 2-way radio
