Joint Venture Accountant

Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Role overview:

In this role you will report directly to the Senior Management Account Iron Bridge and be an integral member of our Finance team. You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day finance function including financial reporting, financial modelling and driving best practice. You will be working in a dynamic work environment and will need to be able to think on your feet and report on and present financial results at all levels.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Working with key stakeholders to assist produce and review monthly Joint Venture reports
• Provide Joint Venture support including budgeting and forecasting, cash call management and audit co-ordination
• Assist with period end accounting and management reporting processes
• Interpret and apply Joint Venture agreements to stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities and driving change to improve financial systems and reporting within the division and group
• Ad hoc duties and projects as required by Finance

Qualification and Experience: 

• Completion of, or progress towards, post graduate accounting qualification (CA or CPA)
• Sound knowledge and application of Accounting Standards
• Exposure to Joint Venture structures
• Advanced excel skills
• Experience in SAP advantageous
• Strong collaborative skills and confident in engaging with stakeholders to support delivery of outcomes
