Material Logistics Officer
Work Location: Iron Bridge Concentrate Handling Facility (CHF) Port Hedland - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge CHF project is located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.
Roster: 8D/6R FIFO ex Perth
Iron Bridge is Fortescue’s US$2.6 billion project, set to deliver 22mtpa of high grade 67% Fe magnetite concentrate product. The CHF, located in Port Hedland, receives Magnetite via pipeline from the Ironbridge OPF, located 145km by road south of Port Hedland. The mine will deliver an innovative process design and industry-leading energy efficient operation.
Reporting to the Senior Planner, the Material Logistics Officer opportunity is a role that supports maintenance activities through management of materials to meet daily operational and shutdown requirements.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety
- Coordinate weekly and shutdown logistic activities to meet operations
- Follow up on purchase orders and material movements with contracting partners or vendors
- Return excess stock and rotables from laydown back to warehouse
- Liaison between warehouse and maintenance teams
- Run material reports for weekly and shutdown to establish material availability and risk
Qualifications and skills required:
- Current WA C Class Drivers Licence (HR license would be advantageous)
- High Risk Forklift (LF) Licence
- Experience in mining procurement/warehouse logistics
- Good communication skills and experience dealing with equipment / transport vendors
- Experience in SAP functionality and Microsoft suite is essential
- An understanding of and experience in purchasing
