Material Logistics Officer
Work Location: Iron Bridge. Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people
Roster: 8D/6R FIFO ex Perth
Reporting to the Material Logistics Supervisor, this role will be part of a team responsible for managing all aspects of material logistics to ensure plant maintenance can be carried out to maintain safety and reliability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Inspection of consolidated materials prior to executing planned work
- Setting up staging and kitting areas for materials required for critical shutdown works
- Provide planning support to increase material efficiencies and cost savings
- Management of rotables in accordance with FMG processes
- Manage shutdown maintenance service kits, MSK’s
- Loading and unloading of materials and shutdown equipment
- Provide support during breakdowns by ensuring efficient supply of materials to site
- Returning unused parts to the site warehouse in accordance with FMG processes
- Provide support during shutdowns by resolving critical material and logistical issues
- Reconcile post shut materials for rescheduled works
- Provide vendor support during shutdown execution
Qualifications and Experience:
- Solid understanding of supply chain, material tracking and material management processes
- Experience using SAP at a material management level is desirable
- Computer literacy including experience with Microsoft programmes
- Well-developed verbal & written communication skills
- HR Driver’s License is essential
- Telehandler/Forklift high risk license
