Services Coordinator
Work Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.
Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth
The services Coordinator’s primary purpose is to ensure compliance with Scaffolding and Crane services at Iron Bridge OPF operate efficiently as this is a key driver for Iron Bridge OPF to achieve its yearly production target safely and within budgeted cost.
Services Coordinator accomplishes this through a team of Scaffolders technicians, Crane Operators and supervisors reporting to the position. Services Coordinator reports to Maintenance Superintendent who is primarily responsible for all scaffolding and crane activities across Iron Bridge OPF.
Key responsibilities include:
- Services Coordinator key responsibilities encompass three dimensions namely safety, Scaffolding, Crane Coordination, and contract management.
- Fortescue aspires to be a world leader in safety and Services Coordinator needs to demonstrate commitment to this vision by showing leadership in areas of hazard identification, managing and coaching team of technicians and inculcating a strong sense of safety across diverse Contract maintenance activities.
- Services Coordinator also needs to coach and mentor his/ her team in latest principles of management. As Iron bridge OPF manages its service providers through inspections/ repairs and replacement through a contractor, Services Coordinator needs to manage all aspects of this contract, ensuring contractor/ client relationship is professional and key deliverables of contract are managed effectively.
Also, the services coordinator will be accountable for supporting the Maintenance activities along with providing compliance within the scaffolding /crane disciplines and supporting Maintenance / Shutdown teams .
Qualifications and Experience:
- Trade background (would be ideal)
- Experience in building and leading diverse teams.
- Understanding of complex crane lifts and standards (including mobilisation and safety)
- Understanding of complex scaffolds and required standards.
