Supervisor Materials Logistics

Work Location: Iron Bridge. Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.

Roster: 8D/6R FIFO ex Perth

Reporting to the Shutdown Superintendent, you will lead a team and be responsible for managing all aspects of material logistics to ensure plant maintenance can be carried out to maintain safety and reliability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordination of the team and prioritisation of daily tasks to meet weekly and shutdown maintenance material requirements
  • Safety leadership and mentoring including conducting in field safety interactions
  • Inspection of consolidated materials prior to executing planned work
  • Proactively engage stakeholders to ensure availability of materials
  • Provide planning support to increase material efficiencies and cost savings 
  • Management of rotables in accordance with FMG processes 
  • Manage shutdown maintenance service kits, MSK’s
  • Provide support during breakdowns by ensuring efficient supply of materials to site
  • Provide support during shutdowns by resolving critical material and logistical issues 
  • Reconcile post shut materials for rescheduled works
  • Generate and present weekly material availability reports to stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience
  • Solid understanding of supply chain, material tracking and material management processes
  • Experience using SAP at a material management level is essential
  • Computer literacy including experience with Microsoft programmes
  • Well-developed verbal & written communication skills
  • HR Driver’s License is essential
