About the role

We have a new opportunity for an IS&T Delivery Partner to play pivotal roles in ensuring Rio Tinto Iron ore obtain continual value from their core technology assets while identifying, planning, costing, and supporting new project requirements.

As the preferred candidates, you will develop an in-depth understanding of your business stakeholder’s key priorities while identifying appropriate options and solutions to their requirements. Additionally, you will ensure the proper teams within IS&T are involved in both delivery and support.

This role is an excellent opportunity for performance-motivated team players to manage Rio Tinto Iron Ore business relationships. You will actively influence and implement supporting technology and digital strategies, roadmaps, and demand. You will also lead multi-disciplinary teams to execute prioritised initiatives and projects.

Reporting to the IS&T Business Partner RTIO (Rio Tinto Iron Ore) Studies and Major Projects, working in a collaborative and supportive team within IS&T APAC West, you will:

• Build solid and enduring customer relationships while maintaining open, transparent, and regular communications with key stakeholders - including internal colleagues within the broader IS&T teams.
• Develop a deep understanding of customer project pipelines, operations, business processes and strategic priorities
• Provide input and insight on customers' technology strategies and initiatives to achieve their business objectives in line with IS&T’s broader strategy and standards.
• Understand technology partner performance, and hold suppliers (internal & external) accountable for the delivery of products and services
• Triage and prioritise incoming demand requests - clearly defining the business problem, value, and opportunity to enable appropriate resources to be identified to support the requirement.
• Provide support in high-level scoping and estimation of effort required to deliver initiatives and products.

• Experience in a product and capability-based environment and familiarity with Agile ways of working ideally within an asset-intensive industry (e.g., Mining and metals, oil and gas, supply chain management or logistics).
• A broad understanding of established and emerging technological trends that can help enable competitive advantage (i.e., Cloud platforms, internet of things (IoT), process automation, data science, citizen development etc.)
