Who we’re looking for:

Join our Information Technology team based at our Cadia site. Reporting to the Superintendent Technology you will work to deliver and improve platform infrastructure services directly, via managed services partners and provide support to Cadia Valley Operations (CVO).

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivery of Network Infrastructure and Cybersecurity related projects using agile/rapid approaches, where appropriate.
  • Integrate yourself and the team with our Managed Service partners as an extension of the IT team, ensuring a seamless service to CVO users
  • Support & contribution towards BAU and project led initiatives and scorecard targets
  • Support of the strategy towards cloud based managed services
  • Ownership, detailed understanding of the key fact base metrics and adherence to targets
  • Promote existing and future IT services in a positive light at all times, enabling front line support teams

As the ideal candidate, you will have proven skills and experience having worked in a complex, diverse and distributed IT operations environment.

In addition, you will also have:

  • Cisco certification
  • Demonstrated proven success in working with users to determine and prioritise the core requirements
  • Thorough approach with a keen eye for detail, fact gathering and adherence to reporting frameworks and change management
  • Strong technical knowledge of varying network technologies (Routing, Switching, Authentication, Monitoring, Firewalls, Prioritisation and Acceleration, and Wireless technology).
  • Understanding of Microsoft Server Technologies
  • Desirable skills include: Riverbed acceleration, SolarWinds or other monitoring, Microsoft Azure (PaaS, SaaS)
