Ivindo Iron - Lead Project Engineer

Position: Lead Project Engineer (Expat Hire) 

Roster: 6 weeks on : 3 weeks off 

Key accountabilities will include:

• Leading/Overseeing the onsite Project Engineering Team to ensure that work is being executed efficiently and safely.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with the various teams involved in the project (i.e. Projects and Operations)
• Helping drive an effective and collaborative working relationship between the Gabonese and Australian teams involved working on the project   
• Engaging and working with various vendors to deliver the project
• Ensuring the team maintain accurate budget and schedule forecasts for onsite works.
• Assisting and mentoring other team members with completing their assigned works.
• Promoting the company values and Project basis to mitigate variation work and scope creep

Qualifications and skills required:

• Experience executing small to medium sized projects in an EPCM contractor capacity.
• 10+ years of relevant Project Leadership experience 
• Fluent in French is highly advantageous for the position.
• Experience executing works being completed by small/tier-3 contractors on schedule of rates based arrangements.
• Proven history in executing projects in a safe manner.
• Strong conceptual thinking and analytical focus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for teaching/mentoring less experienced engineers
