Junior Cost Controller
Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.
Roster: Monday to Friday
This is a role as a Junior Cost Controller that requires a strong admin background with high attention to detail. This role will assist the Resource Definition Drilling cost control team to provide accurate information that can be used for cost reporting and forecast modelling.
Key responsibilities include:
- Raise Purchase Orders (POs), Requisition Approval Forms (RAFs) and Transport Request Forms (TRFs)
- Receipt invoices and update invoice spreadsheet
- Review claims against actuals and Terms & Conditions of the contracts
- Request ad-hoc quotes when required
- Update DCRM with opportunities & Scope, continue to update as per drill schedule changes
- Allocate expenses to cost centres and WBSs
- Analysis of drilling cost
- Enhancing data accuracy across the drilling team through validation reports and processes
- Update and maintain reports like missed flight reports and tenement split reports
Qualifications and Experience:
- Cost Admin or Junior Cost Control experience is highly desirable
- One to three years’ experience in a related resources industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Excel required and SAP desirable
- Knowledge in SAP Fiori and Visualisation tools like PowerBI/Tableau is highly desirable
- Familiar with cost and finance practises
- Accredited finance certification, or work gained experience
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Communication – Good listener and customer service focused, able to engage with end users at all levels of the organisation
