We’ve got the rocks covered, but we’re looking for one more incredible person to join our Processing team at Cracow Operations as a Laboratory Technician.
The Nitty Gritty
Reporting to the Processing Operations Superintendent, you’ll work closely with the Processing, Geology and Environmental teams to prepare, analyse and report samples accurately and on time. The data you produce underpins our gold recovery and production decisions every day.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Registering and preparing processing plant, geology and environmental samples, including drying, crushing and pulverising
- Conducting routine daily laboratory analyses, including wet chemistry and metallurgical test work (moisture determination, size analysis and gold leaching testwork)
- Recording, verifying and reporting analytical results accurately to support plant, geology and environmental reporting
- Supporting QA/QC processes, including standards and duplicates, and flagging any errors or anomalies
- Completing sample and production records and providing clear handovers between shifts
- Cleaning and maintaining the laboratory and its equipment, and keeping your work area safe and tidy
- Meeting daily and monthly sample turnaround and production targets
- Working in a hands-on role that involves repetitive manual handling throughout the shift
What you bring:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a mine site laboratory
- A laboratory, sampling or other industry-recognised qualification (highly regarded)
- A sound understanding of quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC)
- Knowledge of gold analytical procedures
- Knowledge of gold processing operations (highly desirable)
- A current manual C class driver licence
- A strong commitment to working safely, and to keeping your workmates safe
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- The ability to prioritise and organise your work to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping

Cracow Gold Operations is an established underground gold mine located near the towns of Cracow and Theodore in central Queensland, a short flight from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
It is 100% owned and operated by Aeris Resources and holds a significant tenement package over the Cracow goldfields.
