The Role
The position of Laboratory Technician, provides analysis services and results in a timely manner to the Mill and Geology departments by testing of samples with a high standard of analytical accuracy, through safe laboratory practices.  Your role will include:
  • Collect, prepare and analyse shift and daily process samples in a timely manner. 
  • Prepare and assay composite samples as directed by the Metallurgist.
  • Record and report all sample assays.
  • Ensure adequate stock of consumables required to execute analytical procedures.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the Laboratory.
  • Monitor Laboratory equipment for reliability and safety.
  • Ensure Laboratory compliance with environmental policies and procedures.
  • Continually monitor safety procedures in Laboratory.
  • Report plant sample issues and problems to supervisor.
  • Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Aeris Resources values.
  • Ensure good clear communication lines within team and with other sections/departments.
  • Actively promote continuous improvement to improve safety, improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Be proactive in identifying and reporting potential hazards and eliminating risk taking behaviours or actions.
  • Actively participate in Mill department safety systems.
About You
  • A minimum of 2 years mine site laboratory experience
  • Sample preparation and AAS experience is extremely desirable
  • Knowledge of gold processing operations is highly desirable.

The Operation
Cracow is an Underground Gold Operation located about 3 hours’ drive from Bundaberg, Rockhampton, and Hervey Bay. Employing 220 people, Cracow is forecast to produce 55,000 ounces of gold this year.

Our family-friendly FIFO or DIDO roster offers a genuine work life balance, on site there is comfortable company provided accommodation and meals, small shop, and gym. Our FIFO employees are landing on the Sunshine Coast or Brisbane before 4pm and enjoying their Queensland lifestyle!   DIDO employees must be located within 4 hours drive of site for fatigue management purposes.
