About the Role

We are currently seeking a Laboratory Assay/Testing Technician, to join our team at BHP's Nickel West, Concentrator Plant – Kambalda.   •    Nickel West value and respect employees, offering an inclusive and diverse environment •    Family friendly Roster – residential, 7Day 7off 7Nights 7off, 12-hour shift, alternating days and nights  •    Great opportunity to work locally at Kambalda  

About You

We are looking for someone, ideally with a background in Laboratory operations, who will be able to carry out associated tasks including but not limited to:   •    Sample preparation including crushing and pulverising ores and concentrates •    Laboratory analysis involving fusion and XRF •    Sampling and managing ore and concentrate deliveries •    Report results through Cclas and excel •    The job involves working in a hot and dusty environment with  a lot of manual handling tasks •    Coordinate with internal and external clients •    Should have a valid Australian Driver’s License •    Should be able to do shift work and long hours •    Full in house training will be provided but applicants with previous laboratory experience is desired •    Join us at Nickel West as we seek to energize our future
