About the Role

We currently have a Landscaping Technician role available within the facilities maintenance team.  Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for executing a planned weekly maintenance schedule. The team works across multiple geographical locations in Port Hedland, Nelson Point, Finucane Island, Mooka, Boodarie, Flashbutt etc. This busy role is diverse with no two days being the same.

Your duties will include:

  • Providing up keep of gardens, lawns and other grounds features
  • An overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development
  • Safe operation and maintenance of landscaping equipment
  • Maintaining reticulation
  • Ensure compliance to the work execution process and capture related transactional data
  • Undertaking preventative maintenance activities in accordance with weekly maintenance plan 
  • Identify, report and rectify hazards
  • Strong commitment to the field leadership program

About You

The successful candidate will be highly motivated passionate about safety, improvement and be looking to set yourself up in a flexible work environment. This team supports all facilities, roads, building and landscaping works across Port and Rail areas.

As the successful applicant you will possess the following:

  • An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work, with a drive to develop and learn
  • Current C class Driver’s Licence
  • Current HR  Licence is also preferred but not essential
  • Be focused on working collaboratively within our team to achieve results
  • Be a team player who is self-motivated
  • Willing to learn and contribute to promoting a supportive and positive team culture
