Mine Services Operator Trainee
- 7/7 roster | 12 hour shifts
- Southern Operations (Amrun)
- 18 month fixed term Traineeship
We are looking for Local Aboriginal Person (LAP) Mine Service Trainees to work in constructing and maintaining roads to service the Amrun Mining Operations, as well as assist with land development and rehabilitation.
Duties include
- Learning how to work safely with chemicals used for weed control;
- Learning how to construct and maintain haul roads;
- How to ‘strip and rake’ the ground, in preparation for mining or rehabilitation activities;
- Learning how to prepare the soil for seeding and undertake environmental work;
- Learning how to operate vehicles and machinery on site; and
- Learning how to construct and maintain civil roads when required.
Successful applicants must be:
- Priority driven, self-motivated and work independently to meet deadlines
- Able to undertake rostered 12hr shift work patterns
- Physically fit, pass D&A and Medical testing
- Have LAP status approval
- Enthusiastic, passionate and work well within a team
- Able to work within hot outdoor environments
