Title: Lead Build Planning & Purchasing
Work location: Perth based
Roster: 5/2 Roster (Mon to Fri) with an opportunity for flexibility.
In support of Fortescue’s strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Green Fleet projects whereby we will develop and test a range of technologies to power our mining fleet
Based in our Perth R & D facilities and reporting to the Head of Project Management Control, we are presently looking for a Planning and Scheduling Manager to lead the workshop planning, expediting and project scheduling teams to ensure project activities are aligned to deliver on project schedules.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the workshop planning, expediting and project scheduling teams
- Implement planning, expediting and scheduling processes that are aligned where practical and possible to the FMG planning and scheduling processes and are applicable to the requirements of Green Fleet projects
- Provide expertise and support to the delivery teams to ensure compliance to the planning, expediting and scheduling processes
- Provide governance and reporting to ensure robust application of the planning, expediting and scheduling processes
Qualifications and skills required:
- 5-10 years’ experience leading planning and scheduling teams.
- Experience in a start-up environment implementing new process and framework
- Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal awareness with ability to work well in a team
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a drive for excellence
- Results driven, responsible and accountable
- Skilled in rapid problem solving
- MS Project and SAP experience
