About the role

We are seeking a Lead BW/4HANA Consultant to provide technical leadership across a complex, asset‑centric SAP landscape. The role works closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams and IS&T partners to design and assure BW/4HANA solutions that support operational decision‑making and align with Rio Tinto architectural standards.

This position has a strong focus on asset performance, maintenance, reliability and production data. While underpinned by deep BW/4HANA expertise, it is not a purely hands‑on development role. The emphasis is on solution design, governance, quality assurance and guiding delivery to ensure outcomes are sustainable, performant and fit for purpose.

About you

  • Extensive experience as a senior or lead SAP BW/4HANA consultant within large, complex enterprise environments
  • Strong asset‑centric operational background, with exposure to maintenance, reliability, asset performance or production reporting in mining, processing or heavy industry
  • Proven capability providing technical leadership and solution assurance, including design review, build quality oversight and fit‑for‑purpose validation
  • Deep SAP domain knowledge across asset‑heavy areas, such as Plant Maintenance / EAM, asset master data, work management and maintenance strategies
  • Experience navigating ECC to S/4HANA transitions, with an understanding of how asset and production data models evolve and impact reporting
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and bridge operational, technical and delivery perspectives

What we offer

  • Be recognised for your contribution, your thinking and your hard work, and go home knowing you’ve helped the world progress
  • Attractive compensation that is aligned to the specialist nature and impact of the role
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • A safety-focused and inclusive working environment
  • Career development to further your ambitions
  • Ongoing individual wellbeing support
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Be part of Rio Tinto’s global Modern ERP transformation, contributing directly to one of the organisation’s most significant multi‑year programs
  • High‑impact contract role where your expertise helps shape the future of Planning & Reporting across a global enterprise

Where you’ll be working
