Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer
Work location: Dawson Road, Perth Airport
Roster: Monday to Friday
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for resolving site/vendor technical queries
- Day to day interface with engineering and other disciplines
- Day to day review, revise and updating of engineering documents
- Working with other team members to assist in establishing agreed project scopes of work, schedules, checklists and reporting mechanisms to meet the project needs
- Ensure Australian Standard installation compliance in all site works undertaken
- Checking of “As-Built” drawings completed by contractors
- Commitment to zero harm by following HSSE procedures, protocols, and initiatives
- Participates in the specification and review of test and production equipment and processes products for electrolyser manufacture
- Prepares technical documentation for test and production equipment, including scopes of work, procedures, specifications, and standards
- Participates in the development of action plans and support activities during start-up and operation of test and production equipment
- Responsible for developing technical documents, visualisations, and analysis solutions using various reporting tools
- You will work closely with other technical and business teams to gather the requirements
- Must be able to be able to plan and manage own workload (self-directing) with minimal oversight, escalating where necessary to address potential risks or resolve issues

Qualifications and skills required:
- Tertiary engineering qualifications (Electrical)
- Obtain or hold a current Construction Induction Training Card
- Minimum 10+ years of site project engineering experience, preferably in a gas processing environment
- Demonstrated experience in construction engineering support and managing site engineering interfaces
- Experience with HV and LV power distribution networks
- Knowledge of Australian standards and regulations associated with electrical design, installation, and testing
- An ability to listen and identify key issues and to communicate complex information clearly
- Experience with isolation processes at mines, inspecting and commissioning of new equipment circuits and plant
- Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision to set up processes and monitor own work achievements against agreed objectives
- Strong knowledge of E&I equipment such as Switch rooms, HV Switchgear, MCCs, PLCs, VSDs, Instrumentation, Controls, and associated cabling
- Experience in Hazardous Areas Classifications and the associated electrical requirements within hazardous areas
- Sound technical specification writing/documentation skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Outstanding communication skill, both verbally and in written form
- Strong computer literacy
