About the Role
The purpose of the role is to provide leadership on the development of Engineering Information at BMA by making informed data driven decisions. As a Lead you will develop and implement initiatives, systems and processes that will enhance Engineering Information in collaboration with key stakeholders. In this role you will ensure compliance to the BMA Engineering endorsed EIM roadmap. This is a Brisbane based role working Monday to Friday, offering flexible working arrangements. This role requires occasional site travel. Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, engage and manage a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders (MECoE, Technology, Operations).
- Regularly assesses data accuracy, completeness and consistency, and recommends ways to improve data quality and integrity.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Plan, tracks the delivery of and manages a project to generate value and drive the achievement of project outcomes.
- Assess change impacts to prepare integrated change management plans, manages change readiness and resistance, and upskills leaders and impacted stakeholders in the adoption and successful delivery of the change.
- Risk assessment & undertaking decision, considering BHP's risk management framework and build a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.
- Prioritises work effort and resources accordingly.
- Ensure all safe work systems, procedures and standards are adhered to through frequent inspection of the workplace.
About You

- Tertiary qualification in engineering, drafting, computer science, information management systems or equivalent (preferred).
- Deep knowledge of engineering information management as part of Operations, Projects and/or Engineering in a heavy industry.
- Experience in managing complex data bases or data sets in particular engineering information in the SmartPlant tool.
- High degree of business acumen, with a deep understanding of the operating model and interaction between the processes, systems and people of Projects, Engineering and Operations.
- Engineering design especially using current leading 3D and data centric software (preferred).
- Commercial acumen in relation to contract and supply agreements for successful delivery of projects safely, on time and on budget is desirable.
